MINOT, N.D. – After losing a tough battle in 5 sets to in-state rival University of Mary, the Minot State volleyball team will be going back on the road for another busy weekend. The Beavers will be looking ahead to a unique situation when they hit the hardwood in Aberdeen, SD. Starting things off on Friday, Minot State takes on Minnesota State-Moorhead in a non-conference matchup with first serve at 5 p.m. Then, the Beavers go back to conference play when they battle the hometown Northern State Wolves on Saturday also at 5 p.m. Both matchups are slated to take place in Aberdeen.
Minot State already hosted MSU-Moorhead back on Oct. 3, losing to the Dragons 3-0. That game extended the Beavers losing streak to four against the Dragons. Matchup history favors Moorhead, as they have gathered 14 wins in 16 total matches versus Minot State. After that, the Beavers will face Northern for the fourth consecutive time at their barn in South Dakota. The Wolves defeated Minot State 3-0 in their last meeting back on Oct. 22, 2022. Northern currently holds 16 wins in their matchup history with the Beavers.
Minot State goes on the road to South Dakota as they quickly approach the home stretch of the season. After they wrap up the weekend versus Northern, the Beavers will take to the capital city of Bismarck for another non-conference contest, this time against the Mary Marauders. Shortly thereafter, Minot State returns home to welcome the Augustana Vikings inside the MSU Dome next weekend.
