Coach's Comments
"I certainly cannot fault our effort!" Minot State's head coach Mike Brandt said. "We played extremely hard and fought to the bitter end. We made a great comeback and got to within a basket and then we missed nine consecutive shots and had three turnovers in that run. That was pretty much the difference in the game.
"When you shoot 16 percent from three and 25 percent for the game overall it's very tough to win," Brandt added. "We really do have good shooters, we just have to step up and get it done."
How It Happened
Minot State kept it close in the first quarter, but entered the second frame down 18-14.
The Beavers continued to lose ground in the second quarter and faced a 34-26 halftime deficit.

Minot State's bench made the most of its minutes in the period as non-starters totaled seven of the team's 15 third-quarter points.
Minot State could not pull any closer in the fourth, losing by a final of 67-54. Minot State took advantage of its opportunities in the post, scoring eight of its 13 points in the paint.
