FARGO, N.D. – Minot State Track & Field had an impressive day-one showing at the Bison Open with multiple podium finishes and career-best marks.
Distance runner
Juan Gutierrez competed in the men's 600-meter dash, finishing in second place and a career-best time of 1:24:52. This time ran by Gutierrez is also the 3rd fastest time in the NSIC this winter.
Freshman
Charles Hardcastle finished 2nd in the men's 1,000 meters with a time of 2:34.70. With this time, Hardcastle worked his way up to sixth in the NSIC and a spot below fellow teammate
Jacob Jensen.
Sidra Sadowsky ended her day with a new career-best time in the women's 600 meters at 1:39.90. She now holds the 8th fastest time in the NSIC and sits at number 2 in the school's record books for the NCAA DII era.
Beaver throwers
Corbin Harris,
Samuel Kreins, and
Chloe Gunderson hit new career-best tosses today. Harris finished 8th in the men's weight throw (50-11.5), and Kreins finished 10th (49-6.25). Gunderson threw her weight 43 feet, 4.5 inches for her new career-best mark.
