CROOKSTON, Minn. -- The Minot State volleyball team rallied from down two sets to none to earn a come-from-behind, five-set victory 20-25, 18-25, 25-23, 25-22, 16-14 over the Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles on Friday on the road at Lysaker Gymnasium in NSIC action.
The victory moved the Beavers' record to 2-9 overall and 1-2 in NSIC play.
A review of a touch call against Minot State for a potential match point in favor of Minnesota Crookston was overturned in the Beavers favor and Minot State rallied to complete the comeback win.
"We showed a lot of grit and perseverance in that match," Minot State coach Alex Lehocky said. "I am very proud of the team. All of our players stepped up and did their job today."
The Beavers attack was paced by Taylor Wyatt, who finished with 14 kills on the day while accumulating a hitting percentage of .333, and by Bailee Brommenschenkel, who had 13 kills while hitting .313. Defensively, the Beavers had three players reach double figures in digs, including Kendal Braun's 16, 13 from Milena Cernjanski, and 12 more from Tea Boeckel.
