MINOT, ND -- The Minot State volleyball team got the job done in three sets to knock off the Dickinson State Blue Hawks, 25-19, 25-15, 25-14 in non-conference action Tuesday at home at MSU Dome.
The non-conference win boosted the Beavers' overall record to 2-19 on the season. The first meeting between the former Dakota Athletic Conference rivals since 2018, the win stretches the Beavers win streak to seven straight over Dickinson State.
Minot State now returns to NSIC play, hitting the road for matches at Minnesota Duluth on Friday and St. Cloud State on Saturday.
The Beavers were led by a double-double from Madelynn Boop, who registered 10 kills and 10 digs on the day. Bailee Brommenschenkel also added 12 kills to help the offense. On the defensive end, Viktoria Sedova chipped in for with 19 digs to go with four blocks from Brommenschenkel.
"I feel like our service receive was on point and our hitters were just putting the ball away, and I feel like it all just started to blend together." Brommenschenkel said.

SET 1 | The Beavers won the first point and held the lead the rest of the way to win the first set 25-19. Minot State led by eight points at 22-14 before finishing off the set, collecting 17 kills while only registering two attack errors along the way. Minot State also supplemented their offense with three aces in the opening set.
SET 2 | Minot State built on a set-one win by earning a 25-15 victory in set number two. The Beavers grabbed control of the set lead early on at 5-4 and held the lead the rest of the way. Minot State opened its biggest lead of the stanza, 10 points, to finish off the set, totaling 17 kills in the process.
SET 3 | Minot State then sealed the sweep with a victory in set number three. The Beavers took a 1-0 lead and never looked back in the set to secure a 25-14 victory. Minot State opened up as much as a 12 point lead at 24-12 before finishing off the set. The Minot State offense also got a boost from three aces in the stanza.
