BISMARCK, N.D. – Minot State senior thrower
Dallas Reese led the way for a small contingent of Beavers competing Saturday at the UMary Winter Classic as he finished third in the shot put with a personal-best effort of 50 feet even.
While Reese led the way for the Minot State men,
Afton Wride led the Beaver women as she was fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 34 feet, 4.25 inches, and fifth in the long jump with a mark of 16-3.25.
Also competing for the Minot State women was
Erica Nelson, who was 11
th in the shot put with a throw of 34-11.
On the men's side,
Ethan Graham was 16
th in the shot put for the Beavers with a mark of 44-6.75, while
Evan Hartt was 12
th in the weight throw with a distance of 46-4 and 21
st in the shot with a throw of 42-6.75.
The Minot State track and field teams will be back in action next weekend as the Beavers head to Grand Forks for the UND Open on Saturday hosted by North Dakota.
