LANGLEY EVENTS CENTRE, Langley --The Minot State women's basketball team went into halftime tied 33-33 with Western Washington, but could not take control in the second half and fell 69-64 to the Vikings at Saturday.
The Beavers (0-2) had two players score in double figures, led by Taryn Hamling, who had 20 points. Maya Aguilar added a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds and Lara Dobbins added eight points.
The Minot State offense was very productive from downtown, knocking down 14 threes on 35 attempts. Aguilar was the most prolific shooter for the Beavers, draining six treys in the contest.
