MINOT, ND --The Minot State volleyball team fell to the Saint Cloud State Huskies in straight sets (10-25, 20-25, 17-25) Saturday at home at MSU Dome.

The loss dropped Minot State's record to 3-22 overall and 1-15 in NSIC play.

Mia Thompson finished with seven kills on the day to lead the Beavers attack while finishing with a hitting percentage of .267.  Six digs from Caton Pearcy to lead them defensively.

How It Happened

SET 1 | The Beavers fell behind early, dropping a tough first set 25-10. Minot State trailed by as many as 15 points as Saint Cloud State grabbed the advantage for good at 3-2 in a set that was tied up two times before the Huskies took control.

SET 2 | Minot State then dropped the second set 25-20 to fall behind in the match two sets to none. The Beavers couldn't hang on in a back-and-forth set, losing in a stanza that featured three lead changes and was tied 10 times. Neither team led by more than four points along the way.

SET 3 | Minot State could not win set three and was swept by Saint Cloud State. The Beavers fell behind on the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before losing the set 25-17.
