MINOT, N.D- After spending spring break in Branson, Missouri, Minot State softball returns home to host their conference opener this weekend against Wayne State College and University of Sioux Falls inside the Air-Supported Dome known as "The Bubble."

The Minot State softball team currently has a 12-11 record, including an impressive 5-3 stretch in Branson, Missouri. In the NSIC preseason coaches' poll, the Beavers were ranked 6
th.

Leading the charge is the powerhouse
Anna LaCount who has been nothing short of dominant at the plate, boasting a .420 batting average, 6 doubles, 13 RBIs, and a staggering 1.003 OPS.
Paige Kellogg is swinging strong with a .333 average, and
Sara Van Wickler adds even more depth with her .323 batting average.

In the circle, the Minot State Beavers have recently had standout performances from both
Jasmine Blizzard and
Reegan Floyd. Blizzard has been a force, posting a solid 4-4 record with an impressive 1.92 ERA across 43.2 innings of work. Meanwhile, Floyd has been equally dominant, racking up a 6-3 record and a 2.24 ERA over 59.1 innings.

Wayne State College, currently 15-9, was projected to finish in 13
th place from the NSIC preseason coaches' poll. The Wildcats are led offensively by Jordyn Klein, who has a batting average of .388 and an on base percentage of .398. Following Klein is Leah Chance, with a batting average of .384, and Emilee Marth who has a batting average of .351.

Wayne State College is led in the circle by Kennadi Borngrebe, who has a 1.91 ERA over 62.1 innings pitched. Borngrebe has a record of 8-4 with 5 complete games.

The University of Sioux Falls was ranked 9
th in the NSIC preseason coaches' poll. The Cougars (12-10 overall) are led at the plate by Morgan Linstad, who has a batting average of .421 and an on base percentage of .510. Savanna Isaacson follows Linstad with a batting average of .387. Kyra Knudtson has also made an impact with a .386 batting average.

The Cougars are led in the circle by Maddi Duncan, who has a 2.73 ERA over 66.2 innings of work. Duncan holds a 7-5 record with 6 complete games.

The Beavers will begin the weekend by hosting a doubleheader against the Wildcats at noon on Saturday. On Sunday, the Cougars will travel to Minot for a double header set to start at noon.
