Branson, Mo.- The Minot State Softball team returns to the diamond for a spring break full of competition.

The Beavers, with a current record of 7-8, are gearing up for an exciting stretch of action during their Spring Break in Branson, Missouri. Over the course of the break, they'll face off in 8 intense matchups, starting with a doubleheader on Monday. First, they'll go head-to-head with Cottey College (6-8) at 3pm, followed by a showdown with Missouri Valley College (3-9) at 5pm.

The action heats up on Tuesday as the Beavers continue their Spring Break slate, taking on McKendree University (12-5) at 1pm, followed by a battle with Washburn University (16-7) at 3pm. On Wednesday, the Beavers will face off in a doubleheader against Evangel University (Mo.) (12-4), with the first pitch set for 1pm. On Thursday, the Beavers will meet Washburn University again at 2pm for a rematch, before closing out the Spring Games with a 4pm showdown against Missouri S&T (3-14).
The Beavers are gearing up for some first-time encounters as they face off against Cottey College, Evangel University, and Missouri S&T. Minot State will also clash with Missouri Valley College for the first time since 2011 and take on McKendree for the first time in nearly two decades, dating back to 2007. The Beavers are no strangers to Washburn University as the two teams previously met earlier this year at the Washburn Invitational.
The last time Minot State faced Washburn University, the Beavers fell just short losing 4-3. In the game,
Taylor Smith led the Beavers at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI.

Anna LaCount is leading the Beavers in nearly every offensive category. She carries an impressive .458 batting average with 22 hits including 6 extra base hits and an OPS of 1.115.
