Duran, Tuhy, and Krebsbach rack up wins for Beavers at Blue Hawk Games

DICKINSON, N.D. – Saturday was another eventful day in the track and field sector. The Beavers were in Dickinson for the Blue Hawk Games hosted by Dickinson State.

This meet marked the 3rd of 5 straight meets in the North Dakota frontier. The Blue Hawk Games hosted numerous D2 and NAIA schools.

It was another successful day for Summer Krebsbach, Peyton Tuhy, and Ramon Duran. Those three picked up individual wins for the Beavers.

Fresh off a record-breaking performance at the NDSU Spring Invite, Krebsbach tied her previous record in the women's 100-meter dash at 12.07 seconds. As they were just getting started in the track events, Camryn Adams broke through in the women's 200 meters. She placed 3rd with a time of 25.34 seconds.

Moving ahead to the women's 1500 meters, Paulette Dominguez introduced herself to her fellow racers by launching all the way up to 2nd place. Her final time was 5:02.20. Then in the women's 3000 steeplechase, there were 2 Minot State representatives in the top 3. Coming in at 2nd was Sidra Sadowsky with a time of 11:13.98. Right behind her was Bailey Wride at 11:42.91.

In the men's bracket starting with the 1500 meters, Peyton Tuhy outpaced everyone after recording a time of 4:03.24. Ramon Duran also followed up his 1st place finish last week with another one today. In the 400-meter hurdles, he clocked in at 53.28 seconds. Another Beaver hurdler finished top 5 as Zaccharius Brown cleared just under 56 seconds at 55.99 in the same event.

Zander Grover got a time of 2:01.79 in the men's 800 meters, which is good for 5th. Devan Daniels competed in the 200 meters and came away with a 4th place result at 22.03 seconds.

The men's 4 x 100 relay with Deuce Carr, Devan Daniels, Zaccharius Brown, and Ben Holte finished 3rd at 42.54 seconds.

Over in the field events, Dallas Reese and Evan Hartt put in a good effort and came away with nice finishes in the men's shot put and discus.

Reese was 3rd in the shot put at 15.34m (50 feet and 4 inches). Hartt threw for 45.6m (149 feet and 7 inches) which clinched 2nd place.

The Beavers will return to Fargo for the Bison Open in a meet spread out over 2 days. It all starts April 24 at noon.
