MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. –
Bailey Wride led the way for the women, one of three Top 100 performances for Minot State, as the Beavers were 14
th on Friday at the Roy Griak Invitational cross country meet.
Jake Jenkins once again led the way for the men, adding another Top 100 finish as he was 92

th as a team at one of the largest collegiate meets of the season.
"I think a little bit of an up-and-down day with more positives to take away from it than negative," Minot State head coach
Steven Schultz said.
"The course was just racing really slow today across the board for everybody, so we're just trying to not look too deeply into how the finishing times played out."
While the times might have been off, the Beavers' performance in their second meet of the fall wasn't as the Minot State women continued to be a strong team in the middle of a power-packed field, while the men climbed in the standings.
"I think the guys are showing that they've improved from last year at this time," Schultz said. "The health and consistent training is starting to pay off a bit there.
"Jake is proving again to be the anchor of our team, and Camden had a smart race by moving up throughout."
Jenkins led the way for the second time this season for Minot State as he was 92
nd overall in 28 minutes, 35.3 seconds on the men's 8-kilometer course for the Beavers, who scored 525 team points.

On the women's side, Wride and teammate
Emery Smith swapped the one-two spots from the season's first race with Wride coming in 35th in 24:29.5 on the women's 6K course, and Smith close behind in 49th in 24:53.6.
"I think Emery, Bailey, and Julie had fantastic races for our women moving up throughout the entire race and finishing well," Schultz said.
