LARCHWOOD, Iowa – Coming off back-to-back strong performances, the Minot State golf teams head to Iowa looking for a fantastic finish to their fall schedule at the USF Fall Invitational hosted by Sioux Falls.

The Beavers tee off at 11 a.m. on Monday for the first round at the Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort, with the final round of the fall on Tuesday.

Teams from Winona State, Jamestown, Mary, Sioux Falls, and Augustana will compete in both the men's and women's tournaments, with Bemidji State and St. Cloud State sending out teams to compete on the women's side, as well.

The Beaver women come in with plenty of momentum, having won the United Printing Marauders Classic two weeks ago and finishing second at their own tournament, the Battle in the North at the Beowulf Golf Club, last week.

Emily Watts led the way both weeks, winning the individual title and shooting a career-low 74 in the second round of Mary's tournament, then finishing second at the Beavers' home event.

On the men's side, Kasen Rostad has led the charge, playing his way into a 3-way playoff before settling for runner-up honors last week at Minot State's Battle in the North.

His second-place finish helped the Minot State men finish second, as well, at Beowulf Golf Club, two shots off the team title pace.

Rostad finished tied for third at the Marauders Classic, giving him back-to-back Top 5s in the last two weeks.

This week's tournament wraps up the five-tournament fall schedule for the Beavers, who take the winter off from competition, then return to the course in March.
