SMITHVILLE, Mo. - The Minot State men's golf team wrapped up its season Sunday, finishing 9th at the NSIC Men's Golf Championship.
Beaver freshman
Kasen Rostad led the way for Minot State, tying for 17th at 10-over 226 for the 3-day, 54-hole tournament played at Paradise Pointe Golf Club in Smithville, Missouri.
Minot State shot a team score of 66-over 930 with rounds of 310, 308, and 312.
Rostad shot rounds of 5-over 77, 1-over 73, and 4-over 76 to finish at 10-over 226.
Senior
Zach Hendrickson was next for the Beavers, finishing 24th with a 12-over 228 (75-77-76), then junior
Gunther Soltvedt, who tied for 36th at 20-over 236 (81-77-78).
Graduate student
Max Karnik was 43rd for Minot State at 24-over 240 (77-81-82), and
Gage Olson rounded out the scores for the Beavers, finishing 46th at 35-over 251 (86-82-83).
Winona State claimed the team and individual titles as the Warriors finished with a team score of 3-over 867 (294-291-282), 10 shots better than Concordia-St. Paul and Sioux Falls, which tied for second.
Winona State's Max Jericho won the individual title at 1-under 215 (70-70-75), one shot better than teammate Peyton Coahran, who shot even-par 216 (76-75-65) and finished tying the NSIC Tournament single-round of 7-under 65 shot by Minot State's Jace Carlisle at last year's Championship.
