MINOT, N.D. – Minot State's student-athletes continuously achieve at a high level in the classroom, a standard exemplified by today's announcement of the NSIC 2025-26 Winter All-Academic Team.
The league honored student-athletes competing in NSIC-sponsored winter sports, and a total of 29 Beaver student-athletes – competing in men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track and field, and men's wrestling – were named to the NSIC's Winter All-Academic Team or All-Academic Team of Excellence.
To be named to the NSIC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be an active member of their respective team, in at least their second season of competition with their respective Beaver team, and maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA. To earn NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.60 cumulative GPA.
Today's announcement by the NSIC brings Minot State's total of All-Academic Team student-athletes to 75 this academic year, with the spring NSIC All-Academic Teams still to be announced in May.
Leading the way for the Beavers in academic honors this winter were the women's basketball team and the women's indoor track and field team, as each had 8 student-athletes named to the All-Academic Team. The Minot State men's indoor track and field team was next with 6 student-athletes honored, then men's wrestling with 5, and 2 from the men's basketball team.
Here are the Minot State student-athletes who earned NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence and NSIC All-Academic Team honors for the winter of 2025-26:
- Earning NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence honors from the women's basketball team were: Mia Aberle, a sophomore from Surrey, North Dakota; Natalie Holte, a senior from Shakopee, Minnesota; Grace Kent, a sophomore from Canberra, Australia; and Jaime Skeggs, a senior from Mandurah, Australia.
- Earning NSIC All-Academic Team honors from the women's basketball team were: Lara Dobbins, a sophomore from New South Wales, Australia; Taylor Goss, a senior from Pekin, Illinois; Jessica Mogen, a sophomore from Watford City, North Dakota; and Ashley Wacha, a junior from Fargo, North Dakota.
- Earning NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence honors from the women's indoor track and field team were: Natalie Becker, a sophomore from Minot, North Dakota; Julie Folk, a sophomore from Minot, North Dakota; Nicole Reeves, a senior from Anaheim, California; and Emery Smith, a senior from North Salt Lake, Utah.
- Earning NSIC All-Academic Team honors from the women's indoor track and field team were: Camryn Adams, a junior from Northwood, North Dakota; Summer Krebsbach, a senior from Max, North Dakota; Afton Wride, a sophomore from Kalispell, Montana; and Bailey Wride, a junior from Kalispell, Montana.
- Earning NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence honors from the men's indoor track and field team were: Holter Bridwell, a junior from Bismarck, North Dakota; Camden Jasmin, a senior from Williston, North Dakota; and Isaac Rathbun, a sophomore from Minot, North Dakota.
- Earning NSIC All-Academic Team honors from the men's indoor track and field team were: Zander Grover, a sophomore from Burlington, North Dakota; Nikita Neyshtadt, a senior from Richmond Hill, Ontario; and Peyton Tuhy, a senior from Hettinger, North Dakota.
- Earning NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence honors from the men's wrestling team were: Zach Allen, a sophomore from Kingman, Arizona; John Armstrong, a sophomore from Clancy, Montana; Dylan McDonald, a graduate student from Lemoore, California; and Tristan Pekas, a sophomore from Hettinger, North Dakota.
- Earning NSIC All-Academic Team honors from the men's wrestling team was: Mario Esposito, a junior from Torre Del Graco, Italy.
- Earning NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence honors from the men's basketball team was: Braelyn Dale, a junior from Perth, Australia.
- Earning NSIC All-Academic Team honors from the men's basketball team was: Trey Brandt, a junior from Beulah, North Dakota.
