MINOT, ND --The Minot State volleyball team could not beat a dynamic Beavers offense Friday at home falling to Bemidji State in three sets (22-25, 19-25, 15-25).
The loss dropped Minot State's record to 3-6 overall and 0-1 in NSIC play.
Emily Willis finished with 10 kills on the day to lead the Beavers offense. Defensively, three players reached double figures in digs, including Maya Vibeto's 25, 14 from Caton Pearcy, and 11 more from Logan Drennan.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Beavers fell behind early, losing the first set 25-22. Bemidji State grabbed the advantage for good at 8-7 in a set that was knotted up three times before the Beavers took control.
SET 2 | Minot State then dropped set two 25-19 to fall behind in the match two sets to none. The Beavers fell behind on the first point and never clawed back into the lead before dropping the set.
SET 3 | Bemidji State finished off the sweep with a third-set victory. The Beavers fell behind on the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before falling in the set 25-15.

I thought this week we really focused in on our block, Â focused in on being a little bit more efficient on offense. Our block, I thought, did a really nice job; we dug the ball well, we just weren't finishing plays. We didn't control the chaos like I think we should have."
