MINOT, ND --The Minot State volleyball team could not out-play an opposing Bulldogs offense Saturday at home falling to Minnesota-Duluth in straight sets (12-25, 13-25, 14-25).
The loss dropped Minot State's record to 3-7 overall and 0-2 in NSIC play.
Jasmin Bell finished with five kills on the day to lead the Beavers attack. Â 20 digs from Maya Vibeto to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Beavers found themselves in an early hole, losing a tough first set 25-12. Minot State trailed by as many as 13 points as Minnesota-Duluth grabbed the advantage for good at 4-3 in a set that was notted up three times before the Bulldogs took control.
SET 2 | A 25-13 set-two loss put Minot State in a 2-0 deficit in the match. The Beavers fell behind on the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before dropping the set.
SET 3 | Minot State couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Beavers fell in a tough set 25-14. Minot State trailed by as many as 11 points as Minnesota-Duluth grabbed the advantage for good at 7-6 in a set that was tied up five times before the Bulldogs took over the lead.

"Duluth is just very, very talented. It's an established program, it's someone that - we're in a different phase in our program where we're trying to make a lot of changes.
To play against an opponent so trained and so consistent, that's already tough, and coming in, they played a very clean match, and we just didn't respond well."
