Pre-Minot State: Played one season at Idaho State, appearing in 16 games... Averaged 6.4 points while hitting 84 percent of his free throws... Played one season at the College of Eastern Utah (2007-08) where he scored 11.7 points per game and one season at the University of Colorado (2006-07), scoring 6.3 points per game.

High School: Was a four-year standout at Marcos de Niza High School... Was at least an honorable mention All-State player all four year and was a first-team All-State selection his junior and senior seasons... Was second in Arizona history with 41 consecutive free throws made, set a state record for assists in a game with 15 and the state record for free throws made (176) and attempts (189) as a senior.
