Amezcua led the way for the Beaver women’s soccer team, scoring 8 goals and assisting on 2 others in 9 games to earn the Pinnacle Employee Benefits Minot State Female Athlete of the Month award for October.

Amezcua led the offense for the Beaver women’s soccer team with 8 goals in October, scoring in six different games and netting a pair of goals in back-to-back Beaver wins.

She scored a pair of goals in a 5-0 win at Jamestown, then scored twice and added one of her two assists in a 4-0 win at Southwest Minnesota State. She also scored the game-winning goal against the Mustangs.

Amezcua added a goal and her other assist in a 3-1 win at Minnesota Duluth, and had the game-winning goal in a 2-0 win at home on Halloween night against Minnesota Crookston.
