MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State women's basketball continues their seven-game homestand to start the season, as the Beavers play host to Dickinson State on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 5:30 p.m.

Beaver Fast Breaks

Minot State opened the 2017-18 season with a 79-53 win vs. Rocky Mountain last Friday.

Holly Johnson scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to pace the Beavers.

Diondra Denton and Kristal Flowers also reached double-figures in scoring 16 and 11 points, respectively.

Junior Madison Wald leads the Beavers with five assists and tied for second on the team with five rebounds.

The Beavers return four starters and 11 letterwinners from last season's squad that 4-25 overall in 2016-17.

Head coach Mark Graupe is in his first season leading the Minot State program.

About Dickinson State

The Blue Hawks are off to a 3-6 start this season after defeating Salish Kootenai College 96-69 last Friday. DSU is averaging 61 points per game on 36% shooting from the floor and 65% from the free throw line. After nine games, the Blue Hawks are dishing out 7.8 assists per game and grabbing 29 rebounds per game.

Series History

Minot State leads the all-time series with Dickinson State, 56-33. The Blue Hawks defeated the Beavers 73-63 last season in the Minot State Dome.
