MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State women's basketball team wraps up their seven-game homestand to start the season, as the Beavers play host to No. 16 Northern State on Friday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. and Minnesota State Moorhead on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 4 p.m. in the Minot State Dome.

Minot State opened Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play with a 72-62 victory over Mary last Saturday.
Senior
Kristal Flowers earned NSIC Player of the Week honors after scoring 18 points and grabbing 21 rebounds vs. Mary.
Flowers is averaging a double-double this season with 13.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game.
Holly Johnson leads the Beavers in scoring with 14.8 points per game while adding 8.0 rebounds per game.
Madison Wald is scoring 12.6 points per game, followed by
Diondra Denton with 10.3 points per game and
Shyla Carr with 9.0 points per game.
Kari Clements leads the team with 16 assists and third on the team with six steals.
Scouting the Northern State Wolves
Northern State enters the weekend with a 4-1 (0-0 NSIC) record this season and a No. 16 ranking in the WBCA Coaches Top 25 Poll. Miranda Ristau leads the scoring attack for the Wolves with 17 points per game, followed by Jessi Marti and Alayna Johnson who are both averaging 12 points per game.
The Wolves are shooting 48.3 percent from the field and 76.7 percent from the free throw line this season. Northern State is scoring 72.9 points per game and out-scoring their opponents by 13.6 points per game while notching 42.2 rebounds per game and out-rebounding opponents by 11.6 boards per game.

Minnesota State Moorhead comes into the weekend with a 3-1 (0-0 NSIC) record on the season and receiving votes in the WBCA Coaches Top 25 Poll. The Dragons will play at Mary on Friday night before Saturday's contest. Drew Sannes leads the Dragons with 14.8 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. Jacky Volkert averages 12.8 points and 4.1 assists per game while Megan Hintz and Cassidy Thorson are averaging 11.5 and 10.8 points per game, respectively.
