VALLEY CITY, N.D. --
Dorian Aluyi led six players in double figures with 18 points and Minot State shot 66.7 percent from the field as the Beavers defeated Valley City State 97-64 in an exhibition game on Thursday.
Aluyi was 7-of-9 from the floor and also had a team-high eight rebounds for the Beavers.
Max Cody scored 17 points and
Kyle Beisch had 14 points in his Minot State debut.
Kody Dwyer finished with 12 points and
Drake Jeffries and
Trevor Rothstein finished with 11 points each.
Minot State held a 51-33 advantage at halftime and outscored the Vikings 46-31 in the second half.
The Beavers will play their second exhibition game of the season on Saturday (Oct. 27) when it faces Dickinson State at 8 p.m. in 4 Bears Casino & Lodge.
