NEW TOWN, N.D. -- Mariah Payne led four players in double figures with 16 points and Minot State defeated Dickinson State 86-53 on Saturday in 4 Bears Casino & Lodge.

Payne finished the game 6-of-8 from the floor and also had an assist and a steal. Kari Clements added 13 points for the Beavers, while Azaria Reed and Whitney Molina each scored 10 points.

Minot State stormed out to a 26-11 lead after the first quarter and outscored the Blue Hawks in each of the four quarters.

The Beavers shot 44.6 percent from the floor for the game, including 63.2 percent in the second quarter.

Minot State outrebounded the Blue Hawks 52-30 and shot 47.8 percent from the three-point line.
