MINOT, N.D. -- The Minot State volleyball team begins a three-match homestand on Tuesday (Oct. 9) when it hosts Mary in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match at 6 p.m. in the Minot State Dome.
The Beavers are seeking to get back in the win column against the Marauders having dropped four straight matches. Minot State, which is currently 9-11 overall and 3-8 in the NSIC, is also seeking to reach double figures in wins for the first time since the 2014 season.
Sophomore
Karli Koza established a Minot State DII era record when she recorded 15 digs at Minnesota State on Friday. The 15 digs pushed her career total to 846 and moved her past
Cindy Pelo into first place on the Beavers career digs list. She added seven digs against Concordia-St. Paul and enters the match against the Marauders with 853 in her career.
While Koza passed one school record, senior setter
Kelsey Dewulf is closing in on another NCAA Division II era record. She currently has 2,948 assists in her career and needs 150 to move past Emily Byrne into first place on the career list.

Emily Falldorf and
Jeanne Brenner pace the Minot State offensive attack. Spuller leads the team with 279 kills and is averaging 3.82 per set, while Falldorf is averaging 2.04 kills per set and Brenner checks in with a 2.01 kills per set average.
Hayley Swain leads the Beavers with a .321 attack percentage and is fourth on the team averaging 1.92 kills per set.
This marks the second meeting of the season between Minot State and Mary as the Beavers posted a 25-21, 25-22, 25-23 victory on Sept. 11 in Bismarck, N.D. Spuller led the Beavers with 11 kills, while Brenner added eight kills and four blocks.
Mary enters the match with a 3-16 overall record and an 0-11 record in conference play. The Marauders have dropped 15 straight matches and have not won since Aug. 25.
