HOW IT HAPPENED

• Upper Iowa opened the match with a fall victory at 133 pounds to take a 6-0 lead
• Liam Hayden recorded a victory via fall to even the match at 6-6
• Minot State took a 9-6 lead when Tanner Crissler won at 149 pounds
• Upper Iowa reeled off five straight wins to take a 28-8 lead
• Jordan Will posted a decision win to trim the lead to 28-11
• Upper Iowa won the final bout to close out the match

BEAVER TRACKS

• Liam Hayden posted a fall victory over Ryan Schmalen at the 3:47 mark of the second in the 141-pound match
• Tanner Crissler held off Ryan Steffen 7-5 at 149 pounds
• Jordan Will recorded his first career NSIC win with a 5-1 decision over Bodie Garnier at heavyweight

TEAM NOTES

• Minot State dropped to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the NSIC with the loss
• Minot State posted back-to-back wins at 141 and 149 pounds
