MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State men's basketball team opens the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament with a trip to Sioux Falls as the Beavers and Cougars go head-to-head at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday night at the Stewart Center.

Max Cody has played a vital role for the Beavers on both ends of the floor. The Melbourne, Australia native leads the team in assists (182), steals (40) and minutes played (1,095). Cody leads the NSIC in assists while sitting seventh in steals. He is currently five assists away from tying
Luis Ricci Maia's DII era single-season record in assists.

- Minot State finished the regular season with a 14-17 overall record and 9-13 mark in NSIC play.
- The Beavers won the three-way tie for the fifth seed with UMary and Minnesota Crookston with the best record in head-to-head contests among the three teams.
- Minot State is searching for their second consecutive trip to the Sanford Pentagon after advancing to the second round of the NSIC Tournament for the first time in program history last season.
