(MINOT, N.D.) -- The Minot State women's basketball team will be back in action this weekend for the first time in 2020. The Beavers have been off since before the Christmas holiday.
In their last game, Minot State was defeated on the road at UMary, 81-60.
The Beaver women will play two games this weekend. First, they will travel to Mankato to face Minnesota State on Friday, Jan. 3 and then square off against Concordia-St. Paul on Saturday, Jan. 4.
Series History
vs. Minnesota State
- Minnesota State holds the historical advantage over Minot State, 7-1.
- The Beavers defeated Minnesota State 93-87 in the most recent game last season.
- Prior to last season's victory, Minot State had lost the seven previous matchups.
- The Mavericks beat the Beavers in the last game in Mankato by a score of 71-59.

- Guard Bethany Theodore has a team-high 34 assists.
- Another forward, Haley Hildenbrand, is shooting an efficient 50% from the field with 54 total shots.
Scouting Report
Minnesota State
- The Mavericks will bring a 7-3 overall record and 4-2 NSIC record into the weekend.
- Minnesota State has two girls scoring double-digit figures per game. Kirstin Klitzke and Tayla Stuttley average 12.2 ppg and 10.5 ppg, respectively.
- The Mavericks also have two posts with over 50 rebounds on the season. Rachel Shumski has snagged 65 boards and Fett has grabbed 51.
- Fett also leads the Mavericks in blocks with nine.
- Stuttley has a team-high 22 assists.
- Sophomore guard Maddy Olson has made 21 steals to lead the team in that category.
Concordia-St. Paul
- The Golden Bears have a 6-6 overall record and an even 3-3 mark in league contests.
- Four CSP players average more than ten points per game including Riley Wheatcraft (13.7), Sidney Wentland (13.3), Danielle Schaub (11.8), and Meghan DuBois (11.2).
- Wheatcraft, Wentland, and Sydney Schultz each have 59 total rebounds.
- DuBois leads the Golden Bears in assists with 42 and steals with 22.
- Wentland has a team-high 19 blocks.
