Men's Hoops Falls to MSU Moorhead After Second-Half Surge

Box Score (MOORHEAD, MINN.) – The Minot State men's basketball team dropped their game at MSU Moorhead tonight by a score of 75-55.
 
The Beavers and Dragons played a tightly contested first half before MSUM pulled away after the intermission to win in convincing fashion.
 
Minot State was led by guard Max Cody with 17 points followed by center Kody Dwyer with 15. The pair went 13-for-27 for a 48% shooting percentage. The Beavers' other starting big-man, Trevor Rothstein, corralled a team-high eight rebounds. Cody also led Minot State in facilitation on the offensive side with four assists.
 
The Dragons had three players in double-figures including leading-scorer Johnny Beeninga with 21 followed by Gavin Baumgartner and Jesse Bergh with 11 each. Beeninga did his damage on an incredible 67% shooting and 4-for-5 rate from three-point territory and also led MSU Moorhead with six assists. Kaedrick Williams led the Dragons on the glass with eight rebounds.
 
Both teams, and the entirety of the NSIC, will conclude the regular season tomorrow evening. Minot State's final game of the 2019-20 campaign will take place at the Northern State Wolves.
