MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State wrestling team will take on archrival UMary this Friday, at 4 p.m. inside the MSU Dome.
The Beavers were originally scheduled to face off against St. Cloud State this week, but that match was canceled due to COVID-19 protocols within the SCSU program.
Broadcast Note
The live stream on the
NSIC Network will start at 3:45 p.m. and run through the duration of the regular-season dual. The live broadcast on BEK Sports will be tape-delayed and begin at 5:30 p.m. (CT) on channels 24.1, 26.1 in Minot, North Dakota.
COVID-19 Game Day Protocols
Facial coverings are required in the MSU Dome. Fans are reminded to follow CDC guidelines in the MSU Dome including; proper hand-washing, social distancing, and health information.
Fans and media are not permitted on the playing surface including the scorer's table. Attendance is capped at 1,000 fans and admission is free in the MSU Dome.
The NSIC will continue to monitor the landscape and conditions surrounding the pandemic, locally, regionally, nationally, and make any decisions or announcements, as necessary.

MATCH NOTES
FAMILIAR FACES
Minot State and UMary have been competing against each other for years. Friday's dual will be the 17
th total contest between the two teams. The Beavers trail in the all-time series 11-5 with their most recent victory coming a season ago.
Minot State captured the 19-16 win with key wins from
Oscar Nellis and
Shadi Mitwalli. Prior to last season's win, the Beavers hadn't beaten UMary since 2015.
ONWARD BEAVERS
In its first dual of the 2020-21 season, Minot State fell to Minnesota State by a score of 31-12.
Against Minnesota State, the Mavericks started quickly and won the first four matches, including two by fall.
Nathan Baca finally got the Beavers on the board with a sudden victory win at 157 pounds.
Keegan Berry and
Jordan Will were the only other two Beavers to collect wins. Berry did so fall and Will won by decision.
SHIP-WRECKED
UMary began their season with a tough dual against the top-ranked Huskies of St. Cloud State. The Marauders only managed one win against the Huskies as Max Bruss gained a 1-0 decision victory at 174 pounds.
