Beavers begin NSIC play against rival University of Mary

The Minot State women's basketball team begins NSIC play Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 5:30 p.m. against the University of Mary Marauders in the MSU Dome. 

Last time out
The Beavers are coming off of back-to-back losses in the SMSU Tournament. On Friday, Nov. 19 Minot State was defeated by the Bulldogs of Truman State University 77-69. Followed by a 70-66 loss to the Maryville University Saints on Saturday, Nov. 20.

Leading the way
Lucy Chapman and Amber Stevahn led the Beavers in scoring over the weekend, each scoring 29 points in the two-game stretch. Natasha Elliot collected seven rebounds in each game while Kate Head distributed 17 assists over the weekend.

Scouting the Marauders
The University of Mary Marauders enter the contest with a 4-3 record. The Marauders have won their last two games in convincing fashion with a 74-52 victory over Newman University and an 80-48 victory over Dickinson State University. Megan Zander leads the way for the University of Mary with over 12 points and six rebounds a game.

Next time out
Minot State returns to action Monday, Nov. 29 with a 5:30 p.m. home exhibition game against Valley City State University before continuing conference play Thursday, Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. against the Wolves of Northern State University in the MSU Dome.
