MINOT, ND – The Minot State women's basketball team returns home to face the University of Minnesota Crookston Friday, Dec. 17 with a 7:30 p.m. tip-off. The Beavers then take on Bemidji State University Saturday, Dec. 18, at 5:30 p.m. at the MSU Dome.
 
Last Time Out
The Beavers are coming off two losses to University of Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State University on the road. The Bulldogs defeated Minot State 72-54 and the Huskies defeated the Beavers 71-50.
 
Leading the Way
Amber Stevahn and Anna Counts led Minot State averaging 12 and 9.5 points per game over the last two games, respectively. Counts added 12 rebounds for the Beavers against St. Cloud State.
 
Scouting the Golden Eagles
Minnesota Crookston enters the week with a 1-10 (0-5) record. The Golden Eagles are 0-2 in their last two games, with a 64-47 loss to Northern State University and a 75-62 loss against Minnesota State University Moorhead. The Golden Eagles have limited teams to 63.5 points per game over the course of this season. Abi Fraaza recorded a season-high of 18 points in the loss to Minnesota State Moorhead.
 
Scouting the Beavers
Bemidji State enters the week with a 5-4 (3-2) record. The Beavers are on a three-game win streak, defeating the University of Minnesota Crookston, Minnesota State University Moorhead, and Northern State. Rachael Heittola leads the Bemidji State in points this season, averaging 16.7 points per game. Heittola leads the team in rebounds as well, averaging 7.0 per game.

Minot State returns to action to face rival University of Mary Sunday, Jan. 2 with a 4:00 p.m. tip-off. The Beavers will battle the Marauders in Bismarck to kickoff 2022.
