The Minot State men's basketball team travels to Minnesota for a pair of weekend NSIC road contests. On Friday, Dec. 10 the Beavers square off with the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs at 5:30. Followed by a 3:30 tip off the Huskies of St. Cloud State University on Saturday, Dec. 11.
Last time out
Minot State enters the weekend winners of three in a row, defeating Minnesota State University Moorhead, Northern State University and Valley City State University all by no less than 10 points on the winning streak.
Leading the way
Kody Dwyer is the leading scorer for the Beavers on the three-game winning streak with over 17 points per game.
Melvin Newbern and
Max Cody help lead the offensive attack for Minot State, both averaging better than a double-double per game during the streak.
Scouting the Bulldogs
The University of Minnesota Duluth enters the weekend with an undefeated record of 9-0. Sophomore Forward Austin Andrews helps lead the Bulldogs to a 3-0 NSIC record, averaging 23 points and over 13 rebounds in conference play.
Scouting St. Cloud State
The Huskies come into the game with a record of 4-5 overall and 1-2 in NSIC play. Five different Huskies average over 10 points per game, topped by Junior guard Anthony Roberts with 19.6 points per game.
Next time out
The Beavers return home to the Minot State Dome on Friday, Dec. 17 for a 5:30 p.m. tip off against the Golden Eagles of the University of Minnesota Crookston. Followed by a Saturday, Dec. 18 contest against Bemidji State University at 3:30 p.m. in the Minot State Dome.
