MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State wrestling team will be back at home for their final regular-season dual. The Beavers are set to host Southwest Minnesota State on Thursday, Feb. 11.
Minot State (0-5, 0-4) is coming off two narrow losses to UMary and MSU Moorhead. The Beavers have leaned on their heavyweight wrestlers including
Jordan Will and
Keegan Berry. MSU has, however, gotten improved attempts from their lighter grapplers and middleweights.
The visitors, Southwest Minnesota State (1-3, 1-3), have lost three consecutive duals against Wisconsin-Parkside, Augustana, and Northern State. In their most recent dual, the Mustangs dropped a two-point dual to Northern State by a score of 18-16. SMSU has been up and down this season with a roster loaded with young talent.

COVID-19 Game Day Protocols
Facial coverings are REQUIRED in the MSU Dome. Fans are reminded to follow CDC guidelines in the MSU Dome including; proper hand-washing, social distancing, and health information.
Fans and media are not permitted on the playing surface including the scorer's table. Attendance is capped at 1,000 fans and admission is free inside the MSU Dome. In-person interviews are prohibited at the MSU Dome but media may request a Zoom link to the post-game press conference that is performed immediately following the contest. Interview requests must be made by
email.
The NSIC will continue to monitor the landscape and conditions surrounding the pandemic, locally, regionally, nationally, and make any decisions or announcements, as necessary.

DUAL NOTES
WHEN AND WHERE
The Beavers and Mustangs will square off on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 6 p.m in the MSU Dome on the campus of Minot State. Extra matches and the senior day festivities will take place prior to the varsity dual starting.
EYES ON THE PRIZE
The NSIC wrestling regular season will end on Feb. 11. The postseason will take place on Saturday, Feb. 27 at the NCAA Super Regional V competition in Aberdeen, S.D. The Beavers have a handful of athletes with hopes of earning a spot in the NCAA postseason.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
The Beavers are 1-7 in recorded program history against SMSU. The Mustangs won the last matchup 22-15 on Feb. 7, 2020. The only Minot State win over Southwest Minnesota State came in 2018-19 season when the Beavers won 29-12. That MSU victory was also at home.
