MINOT, N.D. – As the Minot State men's basketball team heads to Missouri to start its season, two top North Dakota prospects have made plans to head to Minot to begin their collegiate career on the hardwood.

Matt Murken is pleased to announce that William Ware from Century High School in Bismarck, and Carson Yale, who attended Des Lacs Burlington High School and lives in Minot, each have signed a National Letter-of-Intent and will be freshmen on the hardwood and in the classroom next fall at Minot State.
"Signing Day is always an exciting time to look to the future of your program and today is no different," Murken said. "We love the underclassmen we have in our program and we are excited to add William Ware and Carson Yale to that group. Will and Carson will add size and athleticism to our roster.
"We will continue to make it a priority to recruit the best area student-athletes to Minot State and to the Beaver basketball program," Murken added.
Ware is a 6-foot-7 forward from Century HS in Bismarck who also played football and plans to major in Physical Education.
"I chose Minot State because of the great coaching staff," Ware said.
Yale is a 6-9 forward from Des Lacs Burlington HS who also played football and baseball.
A two-time team captain in basketball, Yale also has earned 1
st Team All-State honors and is a two-time All-Region selection in baseball.
On the hardwood, he averaged 15.1 points and 9.4 rebounds his sophomore season.
"Minot State is a great fit for me," said Yale who is undecided on his major. "I'm staying close to home."
