Box Score San Juan, PR – Quality production from the starters, along with strong defense propelled the Minot State men's basketball team to a 66-56 win over University of Puerto Rico – Rio Piedras in a low-scoring contest. The Beavers shot 48 percent from the field in the victory, while also securing nearly half of their points (32) in the paint.

The Beavers (3-0) had three players score in double figures, led by Ayouba Berthe with 17 points and 5 steals. Jaxon Gunville finished with 14, while Caleb Van De Griend had 10 points. Sam West nearly completed the double-double, as he added 11 boards and shared the ball a lot by picking up 9 assists.

Minot State out-rebounded UPR – Rio Piedras 31-25, with West's 11 being the most. Of the 31 total rebounds, 24 of them were on defense for the Beavers.
