Back-to-Back Battles: WBB Gears Up for Road Test Against Crookston and Home Showdown against Northern

Minot, N.D- This Wednesday, the Beavers hit the road, traveling to Crookston, Minnesota, where they'll face off against the University of Minnesota-Crookston Golden Eagles. On Saturday, the Beavers return home to host the Northern State University Wolves.

The Beavers are riding high after a crucial weekend win over the University of Minnesota-Duluth, pushing their conference record to 5-9. Offensively, they're putting up an average of 60.7 points per game, while dominating the boards with 32.8 rebounds per game. However, ball control has been a challenge, with the team averaging 16.9 turnovers per game. Their field goal shooting stands at a .387 clip, but their grit and determination continue to shine through.

Leading the charge is Emma Mogen, who has been a force on both ends of the court, leading the team with 82 field goals and 100 rebounds. Meanwhile, Maya Aguilar has been the Beavers' long-range threat, knocking down 42 three-pointers to pace the team from beyond the arc.

In the Beavers last face-off against the Golden Eagles, the Beavers fell to the Golden Eagles 63-70. Highlights from the game included the Beavers collecting 10 offensive boards, forcing 15 turnovers, and recording an assist on 62 percent of field goals made.  
 
The Golden Eagles currently sit 5-9 in conference play. The Golden Eagles are led in both field goals and 3-pointers by Emma Miller with 172 and 56. Nicole Hernandez leads the team in rebounds with 160.
 
The last time the Beavers took on the Wolves, the Wolves came out on top in the 52-78-point game. Highlights from the game included Emma Mogen leading the team with 17 points and Jaime Skeggs receiving a team-high 6 rebounds.  
 
The Wolves conference play record is currently 10-4. The Wolves are led in field goals by Madelyn Bragg with 109, 3-pointers by Michaela Jewett with 27 and rebounds by Jewett as well with 171.
 
Minot State will face the University of Minnesota-Crookston Golden Eagles in Crookston, Minnesota on Wednesday at 7:30. On Saturday, Minot State will host the Northern State University Wolves at 5:30.
