MInot State Men's Wrestling delivered a commanding performance at the 4th Annual Beaver Bash Duals, finishing the event with a flawless 3-0 record and overwhelming every opponent they faced. The Beavers opened the day with a shutout victory over the University of Saskatchewan, rolling to a 60-0 win. They carried that momentum into their second dual, defeating Bismarck State College 40-10, before closing the day with another dominant shutout, 51-0, against Northland Community & Technical College.
One of the standout performers of the event was
Kekoa Ogawa (141 lbs), who delivered back-to-back first-period falls. Against Saskatchewan David Dzyubi, Ogawa secured the pin at 1:51, adding six big points to Minot State's early surge. He followed that perfornance with another fall against Northland's Tyler Witczak, ending the match in just 41 seconds to once again contribute six team points.
Another major contributor was
Albert Lawrenz (165 lbs), who scored a total of nine team points across his matches. Against Saskatchewan's Cale Molaw, Lawrenz secured a major decision, 21-10, addind four team points. He followed that performance with a technical fall, 24-6, against Northland, earning five team points and further padding MInot State's already commanding lead.
With dominant team wins and standout efforts, Minot State leaves the Beaver Bash Duals with confidence and momentum as they look ahead to the next stretch of the season.
