MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State hockey teams remained two of the best in the nation based on the ACHA polls released this week, with the Beaver men at No. 3 in the ACHA Division I poll, and the Minot State women are No. 5 in their ACHA Division I poll.

Coming off a pair of home wins last week, the Minot State men (7-0-1 overall) slipped one spot to No. 3 despite a 4-2 win over former No. 1-ranked UNLV and a 5-1 victory over No. 12 Mary.

Ohio moved to No. 1 in the latest ACHA poll, and Niagara (N.Y.) checked in at No. 2. Minot State's in-state rival, Jamestown, was No. 4, and Calvin (Mich.) was ranked No. 5.
UNLV slipped to No. 8 while Mary remained No. 12.

Minot State heads to Bismarck to play the Marauders on Saturday night.

The Minot State women (4-2-1-5 overall) slid down one spot as well to the No. 5 spot after twice playing into overtime while hosting No. 1-ranked Midland over the past weekend, earning a 2-2 tie and falling 2-1 in overtime.

Midland remained No. 1 in the latest poll while Liberty (Va.) checked in at No. 2 for the second straight week, and McKendree (Ill.) was No. 3 once again. Maryville (Mo.) moved up to No. 4, switching places with Minot State.

In-state rival Jamestown moved up one spot to No. 11 in this week's women's poll. Minot State, which is off this weekend, next plays at Jamestown on Nov. 14 and 15.
