Minot State Men's Wrestling heads west this weekend for a full slate of competition, opening action on Friday with the Western Colorado Open before competing in the Tracy Borah Duals on Saturday. Friday's tournament, hosted by Western Colorado, will feature redshirts and reserves from programs across the region, giving the Beavers an opportunity to gain valuable mat time and experience in a competitive open setting. While individual entries are still to be determined, the event plays a key role in the ongoing development of the roster.
Saturday shifts the focus to dual competition at the Tracy Borah Duals, where Minot State will wrestle four duals against a challenging field. The Beavers are scheduled to open the day against Western Colorado, followed by match ups with No. 16 Adams State, No. 18 Colorado Mesa, and Colorado State Pueblo. Each dual presents ranked individual opponents across multiple weight classes, testing Minot State's depth and lineup flexibility.

Roman Leifridt (2-2) or
Leo Pedregal (1-4) at 157, and
John Armstrong (6-4) or

The Beavers' opening dual against Western Colorado includes a potential ranked test at 157 pounds, where the Mountaineers' Vinny Cabral is ranked No. 11 nationally. Minot State will then face No. 16 Adams State, highlighted by a marquee match up at 125 pounds against No. 3 Isaiah Gamez, as well as ranked opponents Kieran Thompson (No. 13 at 141) and Aaden Valdez (no. 3 at 157). The challenge continues against No. 18 Colorado Mesa, which features Alex Castaneda (No. 6 at 149), Owen Cline (No. 7 at 157), and Gabriel Carranza (No. 7 at 197). The day concludes with a dual against Colorado State Pueblo, where Jacob Meyers (No. 11 at 133) and Eddie Bowman (No. 9 at 141) headline the ThunderWolves' lineup.
