JAMESTOWN, N.D. – The Minot State men's and women's cross-country teams return to action at 6 p.m. Friday, October 2, competing in the Jimmie Invitational at Parkhurst Campground in Jamestown, North Dakota.
After a strong showing at the Roy Griak Invitational, where every Beaver who competed recorded a personal best in their collegiate careers, Minot State looks to continue building momentum as the 2026 season progresses.
On the women's side,
Bailey Wride led the Beavers at Roy Griak, finishing 72nd overall in the 6,000-meter race in 21:44.3.
Hannah Senechal followed in 161st at 23:26.9, while
Brooklyn Kitchens placed 163rd in 23:27.1.
Julie Folk finished 166th in 23:29.7, followed by
Addyson Wendt in 186th at 24:25.1.
On the men's side, senior
Holter Bridwell led Minot State at Roy Griak, finishing 112th in the 8,000-meter race in 26:13.1.
Jake Jenkins followed closely in 114th at 26:18.2, while
Carter Heggem placed 134th in 26:39.7.
Nolan Berglof finished 173rd at 28:19.0, followed by
Caden Peterson in 175th at 28:24.7.
Auston Lemer placed 190th in 29:18.1,
Cameron Hummel finished 197th at 30:04.4, and
Aijay Gourneau rounded out the Beavers in 201st at 31:43.4.
The Jimmie Invitational marks the second-to-last regular-season meet for Minot State before the NSIC Championships on Saturday, November 7, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. With the championship season approaching, this weekend's competition will give the Beavers another opportunity to test themselves and continue building toward the final stretch of the season.
