Minot State women’s golf finishes season 13th at NSIC Championship

BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – The Minot State women's golf team wrapped up its season on Friday, finishing 13th at the NSIC Women's Golf Championship at the Adams Pointe Golf Club in Blue Springs, Missouri.

The Beavers shot a team score of 95-over 383 for the final round Friday and finished with a three-day, 54-hole total of 241-over 1,105 (364-358-383).

Senior Zoe Banack wrapped up her collegiate career leading the way for Minot State as she was 29th at 31-over 247, shooting rounds of 80, 82, and 85 on Friday.

Junior, and two-sport Beaver, Micaela Resler, who also plays softball for Minot State, was next as she was 55th at 65-over 281 with rounds of 96, 87, and 98.

Freshmen Carlie Brown and Macie Sebelius rounded out the Minot State team scores as they finished 58th and tied for 59th, respectively. Brown scored a 72-over 288 for the three-day event, carding rounds of 92, 96, and 100. Sebelius shot 73-over 289 with rounds of 96, 93, and 100.

Wayne State claimed the team title as the Wildcats turned in a 15-over 303 in Friday's final round to win the NSIC Championship by five strokes over Minnesota State. Wayne State shot a three-day total of 62-over 926.

Wayne State was led by individual NSIC Champion Gaia Stancikova, who beat Concordia-St. Paul's Addi Wood in a playoff, as both finished the 54-hole tournament at 8-over 224.
