LAKE CITY, Minn. – The second tournament of the fall for the Minot State golf teams found two different Beavers leading the way.

Sophomore Kasen Rostad shot a 2-over 74 and is tied for 17th, leading the way for the Minot State men's team, while senior newcomer Natalie Van Dort shot an 8-over 80 and is tied for 20^th, leading the Beaver women at The Jewel Invitational hosted by Concordia-St. Paul.

The final round of the second tournament of the fall gets underway Tuesday morning at The Jewel Golf Club.

The Minot State men are 8^th after a 17-over 305, while the Beaver women are tied for 10^th with Mary at 60-over 348.

Rostad, who shot his career low of 69 last year at the same event, had three birdies on the opening day to lead Minot State.

Porter Barnett was next as he shot a career-best 4-over 76 and is tied for 29th, while Max Palmer carded a 5-over 77 and is tied for 38th. Quinn Shillingstad was next, tied for 45th after a 6-over 78, and Cameron Schwab rounded out the Minot State men's scores with a 14-over 86 and is tied for 69th.

On the women's side, Van Dort's 8-over 80 was the Beavers' best score, while Emily Watts was next at 9-over 81 and in a tie for 25th. She had the lone birdie of the day for the Minot State women.

Carlie Brown was next, tied for 51st at 16-over 88, then came Micaela Resler, who was tied for 67th at 27-over 99, and Macie Sebelius, who is tied for 69th at 28-over 100.

Concordia-St. Paul's Brennan Weckwerth leads the men's individual standings after a 4-under 68, one shot better than Logan Chouinard from Winona State and Myles Jorde from Bemidji State, while Winona State shot a 1-under 287 team total and holds a four shot lead over host Concordia-St. Paul.

Concordia-St. Paul's Addi Wood and Augustana's Carmen Jirele each shot even-par 72s to share the women's individual lead, while Augustana leads the women's team standings by two shots over Sioux Falls. The Vikings shot a 15-over 303.
