Just about a month after getting whipped 83-47 in Minot in January, Black Hills State turned the tables on Minot State, topping the Beavers 68-57 in nonconference NCAA Division II women's basketball Friday at the Young Center.
The loss sent Minot Stat (10-11 overall) to its fourth-straight loss, a season high. The Beavers will look to snap that streak as they travel to South Dakota Mines Saturday (4 p.m. MT).
MSU looked decent early on, leading by as many as nine points in the first half.
Carly Boag (So., F, Tamworth, Australia) netted 16 of her game-high 22 points in the first half and had 16 of the Beavers 34 at halftime. MSU led 34-32 at the break.
But the Yellow Jackets (10-11) broke things open with a big run early in the second half. BHSU outscored MSU 36-23 in the second half, shooting 66.7 percent in the second half and 55.6 overall.
Leading the way for BHSU was Jordan Kent with 15 points and eight rebounds. She was joined in double figures by Chelsey Biegler (14) and Dakota Barrie (13). Barrie and Kristi Ryan added four assists each in the win.

Carly Boag paced MSU with six rebounds and had four steals as well.
Lauren Safranski (Jr., G, Burnsville, Minn.) scored eight points going 6 for 6 from the free-throw line.
