Box Score 2 CALDWELL, IDAHO – The Minot State University baseball team lost both games in its second-day doubleheader against the College of Idaho despite finding some offense in the first game.
In a 13-10 loss two Beavers hit homeruns, including a first for freshman 
Celestino Rodriguez (1B, Crystal Lake, Ill.) who brought in two runs with his long ball. 
Jordan Schulz (Of, Jr., Strasbourg, Saskatchewan) continued his strong start from day one with the other homerun, a single shot in the second inning to give the team a 1-0 lead.
The Yotes tied it up when they came to bat in the same inning and took the lead in the third and kept it until the end of the game. Rodriguez's homerun did spark a five-run inning for the Beavers with 
Kyle Williamson (OF, So., Aurora, Ore.) and Connor Oliver (OF, Sr., Dayton, Nev.) both scoring and batting in runs.
Going into the ninth down six runs, the Beavers cut the lead in half with another RBI for Williamson and two more from Oliver.
The second game of the day was a different story as Minot State failed to record a hit. With two pitchers for the Yotes striking out five batters and walking three in nine innings resulting in the 13-0 final.
Pitcher 
Lane Biggs (So., Salem Ore.) pitched well in the first four innings only allowing one run. In the fifth and sixth innings the Yotes scored four more, but not before Biggs struck out seven of their batters.
Minot State will play its final game against the College of Idaho tomorrow, February 7 at 12 p.m.
