MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State baseball team travels to Bismarck, N.D. to take on UMary in the final weekend of the regular season while sitting in first place of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference standings and searching for their first NSIC title in school history.
Minot State is currently 25-6 in NSIC play while No. 11 Augustana is second with a mark of 24-6 in conference play.
The Beavers and Marauders will play a doubleheader on Friday beginning at 1:30 p.m. and a doubleheader starting at noon on Saturday.

Scouting the UMary Marauders
UMary enters the weekend with a 5-34 overall record and 2-26 mark in the NSIC. Jesus Payan leads the Marauder offense while hitting .348 with a team-high eight doubles, two home runs and 24 RBIs. Connor Doll is hitting .290 with 17 RBIs on the season. Colin Gudereit is 2-4 on the mound this season with a 5.14 ERA and 14 strikeouts.
As a team, the Marauders are hitting .258 with 171 runs, 298 hits, 34 doubles, one triple and five home runs. The UMary pitching staff has a team ERA of 7.17 while giving up 228 earned runs on 362 hits and striking out 167 opposing batters.
Interim head coach Kevin Walsh is in his first season leading the Marauder program after joining the staff before the season as a pitching coach and moving to interim head coach on March 27, 2018.

UMary leads the all-time series with Minot State, 41-22. In their last meeting, the Beavers won a 12-5 decision over the Marauders in Minot, N.D. on April 30, 2017.
