(MINOT, N.D.) – The Minot State women's basketball team will play their third and final non-conference game of the 2019-20 season. Minot State has won their last two games and is 2-1 on the season.
The Valley City State University Vikings will travel to Minot for the Beavers' next game tomorrow night, Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 5:30 p.m.
Series History
- The Beavers and Vikings share a deep history in women's basketball as the two teams have played dozens of times dating back to the early nineties. The Beavers hold the advantage in the all-time series 42-41.
- Minot State has won the last three games versus VCSU including last season's 66-59 win in the MSU Dome.
- The Vikings' last win came in 2011 by a score of 71-66.
- MSU's longest win streak against Valley City came from 2004-2007 when the Beavers won eight straight.

- The Beavers are currently 2-1 on the season after demolishing Yellowstone Christian College 85-38 last weekend.
- Despite being a healthy scratch versus YCC, Mariah Payne is leading the Beavers in scoring average with 16.5 ppg.
- Calli Delsman and Anna Counts are also averaging double-digits with 10.7 ppg and 10.0 ppg, respectively.
- Junior Bethany Theodore leads the Beavers in both assists with 14 and three-point percentage, shooting at a 67% clip from beyond the arc.
- Delsman leads the team on the boards with 19 total rebounds on the year. Counts and senior Reina Strand are close behind with 18 rebounds each.
- Forward Haley Hildenbrand has been the most efficient shooter with a field goal percentage of 83%.
Scouting Report
- The Valley City State Vikings are 2-4 on the season and have yet to win on the road.
- Senior center Mackenzie Huber is leading the Vikings' offense with 12.5 points per game
- Huber also leads the team on the glass with 36 total rebounds this season. Adriana Torres (28) and Maara Nelson (25) are also forces on the boards.
- Junior Alexis Bentz is shooting nearly 50-percent from three (47.4%).
- Post player Brenna Price is 20-28 from the field for a team-high 71.4% field goal rate.
- Emily Schafer and Macey Kvilvang each have 11 assists to lead the Vikings in that category.
- As a team, VCSU is averaging 67.7 points per game and giving up 68.7 points per game.
