SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Anya Ross completed the first round tied for 13th at the Augustana Spring Invite to pace the Minot State University women's golf team to 10th place after the opening 18 holes at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Saturday.
The Beavers as a team posted a combined 71 over which put them in 10th place amongst the field of 13 NSIC opponents. Sioux Falls paced the field with a score of 18 over (306) combined during the first round of action.
Ross recorded a seven over 79 to finish her day tied for 13th after 18 holes of play.
Holly Knudsen posted a 13 over 85 during the opening round of play,
Jaci Jones recorded a 13 over 85 as well and they both went into the clubhouse tied for 42nd.
Taylor Cormier finished the first round 14 over par with a round of 86 which put her tied for 52nd in the tournament.
The Beavers are back in action during Round 2 at 9 a.m. tomorrow in the Augustana Spring Invite at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
