MORTON, Minn. -- The Minot State University women's golf team sits in 8th place following the second round at the NSIC Championships at Dacotah Ridge Golf Club in Morton, Minn.
Taylor Cormier leads the Beavers into the clubhouse after the second 18 holes with a 23 over score which puts her tied for 26th overall after an 11 over second round. Cormier birdied 11 to mark the second birdie for the Beavers in the NSIC Championships and the only birdie of the second round for MSU.
Anya Ross is tied for 32nd with an overall score of 26 over (83) after hitting for par three times on holes 5-7 on the front nine and six times on holes 11-13 and 16-18 on the back nine. Ross posted a 12 over second round during today's action.
Holly Knudsen is tied for 35th with a score of 28 over (85) after a 13 over second round. Knudsen went into the turn with a four-over score during the front nine of today's action after hitting for par on five holes (3-4, 6-8) but a quadruple bogey on 11 and a double bogey on 13 were trouble spots during the day.
Jaci Jones is 44th with a score of 37 over following an 18 over (90) second round.
The Beavers will be back in action with the third and final round of the NSIC Women's Golf Championships tomorrow with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The top five golfers will be named NSIC All-Tournament, while the team champion will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Regional.
