MORTON, Minn. -- The Minot State University women's golf team finishes 7th at the NSIC Championships following a rainy third round at Dacotah Ridge Golf Club in Morton, Minn.
The Beavers wrap up the season with a seventh-place finish (+184) at the NSIC Championships, after moving up one spot during the final 18 holes of action on Sunday. MSU finished 11 strokes back of Southwest Minnesota State (+173) in sixth place.
MSU posted a total of 1048 with the third round 358 marking the highest round of the tournament for the team. Round 1 was 348 and Round 2 yesterday was 342.
Freshman
Taylor Cormier pretty much led the Beavers from wire-to-wire after a final round of 12 over (84) to complete her championship tied for 22nd with a 35 over score. Cormier birdied on 15 which marked the front nine for the Beavers due to beginning the day on holes 9-18 today.
Junior
Anya Ross finished tied for 28th (+40) after a 14 over final round on Sunday. Ross recorded an 86 during the 18 holes played today. She hit for par four times during the back nine today which was holes 1-9 and reached par twice over the front nine which were holes 10-18 during today's action.
Holly Knudsen finished tied for 39th with a score of 52 over after a 24 over final round. Knudsen posted scored of 12 over on the front nine and 12 over on the back nine today (96).
Jaci Jones finished tied for 49th with a 57 over score after completing the final 18 holes today 20 over. Jones posted a 92 today with a front nine marking of 11 over and a back nine score of nine over to finish out play.
The Beavers complete the season and finish seventh in the NSIC after an action-packed weekend at the NSIC Championships at Dacotah Ridge Golf Club in Morton, Minn.
