MINOT, N.D. – As classes begin on the Minot State campus, it also means tip-off of a new season on the hardwood is drawing closer and the Beaver women's basketball team is excited to announce it 2022-23 schedule.

The season will tip-off on Saturday, Oct. 22, with Minot State hosting a scrimmage at the MSU Dome against visiting Jamestown, then the Beavers hit the road for a tough month of action away from home before hosting Dickinson State on Tuesday, Nov. 29, in a final non-conference contest.

"With six of our first seven games away from the friendly confines, we are going to have to be road warriors," head coach Mike Brandt said. "Road games are very tough to play in, but hopefully we will gain toughness!"

The Minot State "road warriors" begin that tough stretch with another preseason scrimmage at North Dakota State on Oct. 29, then it's the regular-season opener in Colorado at the Conference Challenge tournament on Nov. 12 and 13 with the Beavers battling Southeastern Oklahoma State.

The Beavers then return to the Midwest to play at Black Hills State on Nov. 17, then they play at Montana State Billings on Nov. 19. The early-season road trip concludes on Nov. 22 at the South Dakota School of Mines before Minot State returns to the friendly confines of the MSU Dome on Nov. 29 for their game against the Blue Hawks at 7 p.m.

"With our conference being so strong, we need to be as tough as nails and hopefully the schedule we have set up will prepare us for that NSIC action," Brandt said.

NSIC action opens with Minot State playing at Minnesota State Moorhead on Thursday, Dec. 1, then the Beavers are back home for three of the next four as they host Northern State on Saturday, Dec. 3, then after a quick, mid-week trip to Bismarck to take on Mary on Dec. 6, Minot State hosts Minnesota Duluth on Friday, Dec. 9, and St. Cloud State on Saturday, Dec. 10.

Minot State then hits the road for NSIC contests at Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State on Dec. 16 and 17 before taking time off for the Christmas break, then will host a rare New Year's Eve contest against in-state rival the University of Mary on Saturday, Dec. 31, at 1 p.m.

The new calendar year then tips off with Minot State at home hosting Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State on Jan. 6 and 7, then the Beavers hit the road for contests at Wayne State on Jan. 13, and Augustana on Jan. 14.

The Beavers are back home on Jan. 20 to host Winona State and Jan. 21 to host Upper Iowa, then play at Concordia, St. Paul and Minnesota State, Mankato on Jan. 27 and 28, respectively.

February starts with Minot State back on the home hardwood as Bemidji State visits the MSU Dome on Feb. 3 and Minnesota Crookston is in town on Feb. 4, then Minot State plays at St. Cloud State on Feb. 10 and at Minnesota Duluth on Feb 11.

The season then wraps up with the Beavers hosting Minnesota State Moorhead on Thursday, Feb. 16, for their final home game, then the regular season wraps up on the road on Saturday, Feb. 18, with Minot State playing at Northern State.
